WASHINGTON \u2014 Dr. Anthony Fauci<\/a> privately raised concerns that the COVID-19<\/a> vaccine could \u201ctheoretically\u201d be linked to miscarriages in expectant mothers, despite having publicly insisted there were \u201cno red flags\u201d for pregnant women.<\/p>\n

\u201cI asked around a bit more and another issue came up that you need to be aware of,\u201d wrote Fauci in a Jan. 25, 2021, text exchange with then-Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince many people have significant cytokines storm and fever after the 2nd dose, this theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the 1st trimester,\u201d added the then-National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director.<\/p>\n

Fauci, Walensky and Murthy had been discussing whether the vaccine posed any risks to women who followed the two-shot regimen earlier or later in their pregnancies.<\/p>\n

Walensky responded to Fauci that the first trimester issues he raised were\u00a0\u201cdefinitely a good point, [especially] after dose two.\u201d<\/p>\n

Days later, on Feb. 3, Fauci said during\u00a0a question-and-answer livestream<\/a>\u00a0with the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA)\u00a0that the FDA \u201cfound thus far, and we have to be careful, but thus far no red flags about that, about pregnant women.\u201d<\/p>\n

Months later, the Biden White House\u2019s chief medical adviser\u00a0also said<\/a>,\u00a0\u201ctens and tens and tens of thousands of women who have been followed by the CDC, who have been vaccinated when they were pregnant, there\u2019s no indication whatsoever that there\u2019s any increase of any adverse issues in a pregnant woman who was vaccinated compared to a pregnant woman who wasn\u2019t vaccinated \u2026 it\u2019s pretty clear that pregnant women should get vaccinated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other communications between Fauci, Murthy and Walensky also showed them weighing the potential risks of vaccination against the risks posed by SARS-CoV-2, the virus caused by COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Murthy also mentioned he was \u201csurprised to see WHO [World Health Organization] put out a\u00a0strong like saying they\u00a0do not recommend moderna [sic] in pregnant women<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a strong\u00a0statement to make and potentially quite damaging to public confidence among pregnant\u00a0women,\u201d he told Fauci and Walensky in a text from Jan. 26, 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"TextDr. Fauci\u2019s private text messages where he discussed the miscarriage risk linked to COVID-19 vaccine. Chairmen Ron Johnson and Rand Paul<\/p>\n

The messages<\/a>, released by Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), were taken from more than 34,000 texts and 522 voicemails obtained by the Senate Homeland Security Committee last week from Fauci\u2019s government-issued cell phone.<\/p>\n

According to the Republican senators, just three contacts are listed in that phone but it is \u201ctoo early to determine whether any data has been deleted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul earlier this month referred Fauci for prosecution based on the ex-NIAID chief\u2019s refusal to testify before the Homeland Security panel.<\/p>\n

Asked whether he\u2019d discussed the potential prosecution with Attorney General Todd Blanche or DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, President Trump told reporters Monday, \u201cI have not spoken to them about that, no.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination to avoid answering questions during a July 29 hearing about the COVID-19 pandemic and so-called \u201cgain of function\u201d research supported by US grants.<\/p>\n

Paul has also accused Fauci and his assistants of allegedly deleting federal records that could be critical to uncovering the origins of COVID.<\/p>\n

After the hearing, Paul and Johnson announced that they\u2019d obtained a forensic copy of Fauci\u2019s government-issued cell phone to review, but that emails had already showed evidence that US public health higher-ups asked for the deletion of some records.<\/p>\n

One of those senior officials, ex-CDC Immunization Safety Office Director Dr. Tom Shimabukuro, has already been accused by Johnson of deleting emails\u00a0on adverse COVID jab reactions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve invited Anthony Fauci now for a transcribed interview,\u201d Johnson also announced on Fox News\u2019 \u201cAmerica Reports\u201d Monday. \u201cHe\u2019s been quoted as saying he\u2019s not afraid of congressional oversight. He\u2019ll talk to any oversight committee; he\u2019s got nothing to hide; so we\u2019re going to give him that opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cQuite honestly,\u201d Johnson added, \u201che\u2019s the only guy that can answer some of these questions. So we\u2019ll give him another opportunity. We\u2019ve invited him. His attorneys have contacted us.
