Tragic actress Hayden Panettiere suffered a cardiac arrest<\/a> following a suspected overdose at a South Carolina apartment, according to chilling 911 dispatch audio.<\/p>\n

Panettiere\u2019s unidentified pal called 911 at 1:51 p.m. Sunday from a Greenville, SC, apartment to report an \u201cunresponsive female\u201d in \u201ccardiac arrest,\u201d according to dispatch audio obtained by The Post.<\/p>\n

Responding paramedics tried to resuscitate the 36-year-old Palisades, NY, native with \u201cadvanced cardiac life support,\u201d which can include breathing tubes, defibrillators, and emergency medication such as IV drugs.<\/p>\n

Several minutes later, a different EMT says they are responding to a possible \u201coverdose\u201d at the same address, and that \u201cCPR is in progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress was pronounced dead at 2:32 p.m. \u2013 just five days before her 37th birthday.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear who placed the 911 call.\u00a0Police revealed Sunday she was found by an \u201cacquaintance,\u201d without revealing their identity.<\/p>\n

She flew out of Los Angeles with her on-off boyfriend Brian Hickerson on Saturday, according to reports.\u00a0\u00a0However, it was\u00a0not clear if\u00a0he was the friend who found her.<\/p>\n

Cops\u00a0<\/a>said there were no \u201csigns of foul\u00a0play\u201d\u00a0and an autopsy will be carried out Monday.<\/p>\n

The actress\u2019 shocking death\u00a0came just\u00a0three months after she published<\/a>\u00a0her deeply candid memoir, \u201cThis Is Me: A Reckoning<\/a>,\u201d in which the former child star opened up about her harrowing battles with alcohol and opioid addiction, postpartum depression, domestic abuse and the\u00a0pressures of growing up in Hollywood<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Panettiere had been working since she was a baby, appearing in commercials at just 11 months old before landing roles on the soaps\u00a0\u201cOne Life to Live\u201d and \u201cGuiding Light.\u201d<\/p>\n

She became one of the youngest actors to be nominated for a Grammy Award for\u00a0voicing\u00a0Princess Dot in the 1998 movie \u201cA Bug\u2019s Life\u201d at 9 years old.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Panettiere later appeared in movies including \u201cRemember the Titans\u201d at\u00a010 years old, before becoming a household name as Claire Bennet on \u201cHeroes,\u201d which premiered in 2006.<\/p>\n

She also starred in several coming-of-age films and teen rom-coms in the early 2000s, including Disney\u2019s \u201cIce Princess,\u201d \u201cRacing Stripes,\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cBring It On: All or Nothing,\u201d and \u201cI Love You, Beth Cooper.\u201d<\/p>\n

In recent years,\u00a0\u00a0Panettiere opened up about her battle with drug and alcohol addiction.<\/p>\n

In 2022, she revealed she was just 15 when she was offered \u201chappy pills\u201d before going onto the red carpet.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were to make me peppy during interviews,\u201d she\u00a0told People.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI had no idea that this was not an appropriate thing, or what door that would open for me when it came to my addiction.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also battled postpartum depression after welcoming her daughter Kaya, whom she shared with then-fianc\u00e9\u00a0\u00a0Wladimir Klitschko in December 2014.<\/p>\n
