The Staten Island mom shot dead in a suspected murder-suicide<\/a> last week had dedicated her life to her young son \u2013 with \u201cevery hope she had for the future\u201d focused on him, loved ones said in an online fundraiser.<\/p>\n

Dana Foley, 39, was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the torso shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday inside a home on Garth Court, a quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac street in the borough\u2019s Richmond neighborhood, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Her boyfriend, Dakota Suckstorff, 27, who lived in the home, was found shot in the head and later pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.<\/p>\n

A gun was recovered at the scene near Suckstorff\u2019s hand, law enforcement sources said Monday.<\/p>\n

In a GoFundMe page, Foley \u2014 who lived more than five miles away in the Sunnyside neighborhood \u2014 was described as a loving mother who cared deeply for her son, Lennon.<\/p>\n

\u201cMore than anything else in this world, Dana was Lennon\u2019s mom,\u201d the organizer, Nicole DeMeo, wrote. \u201cLennon was her absolute pride and joy. Being his mother was the greatest purpose of her life and, without question, the thing she was most proud of. Everything Dana did, every plan she made, and every hope she had for the future centered around Lennon.\u201d<\/p>\n

DeMeo also fondly remembered Foley\u2019s laugh that \u201ccould fill a room\u2026 and then some.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe had an incredible way of making people feel special, and her presence made people feel welcomed, remembered, loved, and cared for,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

Foley\u2019s dad, Kevin Foley, remembered his daughter in a heartbreaking post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll forever love you always and forever!\u201d he wrote. \u201cMy Dana, my first born, my NY Giants partner, my LOVE! Rest now, Rest now. We shall meet again. Love you so much!<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, another friend whose child played soccer with Foley\u2019s son said they soon became like family.<\/p>\n

\u201cDana was one of us,\u201d Christina DeClara wrote<\/a>. \u201cFrom soccer parties, to cheering for our boys on the sidelines, to carpooling\u2013we are collectively devastated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Local pizzeria The Original Goodfella\u2019s Brick Oven Pizza <\/a>described Dana as a well-loved employee.<\/p>\n
