Mother Nature Creation dominated Saturday night\u2019s Carnival King and Queen competition. The annual competition brought together masqueraders from several leading mas bands to the Belize City Civic Center, where the Mother Nature Creation band walked away with both the senior King and Queen titles at the Belize City Civic Center.<\/p>\n

Collet Royals secured the Junior Queen title, while Soca Massive took home the Junior King crown.<\/p>\n

For Queen Vanessa Williams, the victory marked her second consecutive Carnival Queen title with Mother Nature Creation. This year, she portrayed Queen Selora as part of the band\u2019s interpretation of the universe.<\/p>\n

\u201cI represent Mother Nature, and this year we\u2019re depicting the Universe. I am Queen Selora, and this is the second year I am going up for Mother Nature, and I won last year, so I am defending my title,\u201d Williams said.<\/p>\n

She described her first year as Carnival Queen as \u201ca very good experience to carry the name of your band. It was exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her winning counterpart, King Ryan Davis, portrayed a character inspired by the stars and moon, representing the balance between opposing forces and her King.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy character is King already, which means I bring the light while my queen brings the shadows,\u201d Davis said. \u201cIt\u2019s about the balance, the push and the pull, the love and the hate, the creation and the destruction of everything that manifests in every creation and every synchronicity; without her, my balance and power goes unchecked.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bearing the title of Carnival King goes beyond the costume and competition, and for Davis in particular, \u201cIt\u2019s all about family,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s not even about the carnival band; it\u2019s the family behind it that moves everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here are the 2026 Carnival Senior and Junior King and Queens<\/p>\n

Belize Carnival 2026 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 5, in Belize City. J\u2019ouvert kicks off at 4:00am, followed by the Carnival Road March at 2:00pm.<\/p>\n
