It\u2019s not every day that we catch a royal off the clock<\/a>, but when we do, it usually involves clothing that doesn\u2019t often see the light of day during their official royal outings.<\/p>\n

A few miles away from Balmoral Castle, AKA the private residence of King Charles III and Queen Camilla<\/a>, the queen consort herself was spotted on a girls\u2019 shopping trip in Ballater, Scotland; and she was joined by her sister, Annabel Elliot, as well as her daughter Laura Lopes<\/a>, and granddaughter, Eliza<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Queen Camilla is seen shopping with her sister, daughter, and granddaughter on Monday, August 17.<\/p>\n

It was a rare family outing, and Camilla\u2019s look was just as rare, and far more rustic than we\u2019re accustomed to seeing. Instead of the midi dresses<\/a> and smart businesswear<\/a> she favors on royal engagements, she opted for a more equestrian, farm-ready outfit.<\/p>\n

Her ensemble began with a few layers up top, including a navy V-neck sweater stacked over a light-blue button-down. Both were tucked underneath an olive-green barn jacket<\/a> with brown corduroy lapels and cuffs, as well as large cargo pockets in front (an outerwear choice that\u2019s frequently embraced<\/a> by her daughter-in-law Princess Catherine).<\/p>\n

Down low, the Queen\u2019s Reading Room founder<\/a> completed her look with a set of dark-wash jeans with navy socks to match, while slipping into a set of black platform loafers with tassels decorating the vamps.<\/p>\n

Camilla was seen happily holding several shopping bags in her hands, as she and her family members visited stores like KT Boutique and the A.B. Yule bookshop.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s not often that we seen Camilla in denim, she\u2019s certainly not the first royal to rock the staple bottoms, as many stylish women, from Kate<\/a> to Princess Diana<\/a>, have turned to a good pair of jeans over the years.
