The Philadelphia-based architecture firm\u2014whose projects include the U.S. Embassy in London\u2014perched the home atop 19.5 acres of forest, meadows, granite outcroppings, and protected conservation land.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCommissioned by mutual fund manager Michael Kagan and his wife, Olga, a film producer, the glass, zinc-coated copper, and mirror-polished stainless steel structure was completed in 2014. Per <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/real-estate\/luxury-homes\/mirror-house-pound-ridge-ny-f1573b24?mod=real-estate_lead_pos5\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/real-estate\/luxury-homes\/mirror-house-pound-ridge-ny-f1573b24?mod=real-estate_lead_pos5\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a>, the couple originally paid $1.75 million for a roughly 33-acre property with a circa-1950s home. They later sold that house on a 3.52-acre lot, donated 10 acres to local land conservation, and built their custom masterpiece on the remaining acreage.
