CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A man desperately tried to save a close family friend as she bled in his arms after a brutal attack in a Brooklyn park early Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Shakeema Davis, 30, was fatally stabbed<\/a> after a fight in Lincoln Terrace Park near Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights at around 12:40 a.m., according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n

“I took my shirt off and tied it around her to compress her wounds. I tried to save her, and she took her last three breaths in my arms,” said Davis’s longtime friend, Freddie, trying to hold back the tears.<\/p>\n

Freddie and Davis were in the park enjoying a summer night with food and friends before the victim and an unidentified man began arguing.<\/p>\n

The confrontation escalated, and Davis was stabbed multiple times in front of her 7-year-old son, according to Freddie.<\/p>\n

“All the blood that was on me. I can’t,” he said.<\/p>\n

Police found the woman lying on the ground with several stab wounds. Davis was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.<\/p>\n

The suspect ran off. There have been no arrests.<\/p>\n

“You know who you are,” Freddie said. “You can’t run and you can’t hide.”<\/p>\n
