{"id":325899,"date":"2026-08-20T15:56:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T15:56:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/325899\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T15:56:13","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T15:56:13","slug":"think-you-have-the-taste-buds-to-judge-the-best-food-at-the-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/325899\/","title":{"rendered":"Think you have the taste buds to judge the best food at the Fair?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GEDDES N.Y. \u2014 Fairgoers can put their taste buds to the test at this year\u2019s Great New York State Fair.<\/p>\n<p>The Fair is looking for people to serve as judges for its inaugural \u201cBest of the Fair\u201d food and drink competitions.<\/p>\n<p>Selected judges will sample vendor entries and help choose the winners alongside local celebrity judges.<\/p>\n<p>Judging will take place at 10 a.m. in the Empire Room inside the Creative Arts Center, formerly known as the Art &amp; Home Center.<\/p>\n<p>Fairgoers can sign up to judge one or more competitions: <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdokHbCS5TqHA0nOn53S3kB7leNmCe8v6xlXSUyIs0QCL530Q\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">sign up link <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Monday, Aug. 31 \u2014 Best Savory Food ItemTuesday, Sept. 1 \u2014 Best Sweet Food ItemWednesday, Sept. 2 \u2014 Best Fried Food ItemThursday, Sept. 3 \u2014 Best Mocktail\/Non-Alcoholic DrinkFriday, Sept. 4 \u2014 Best Cocktail\/Alcoholic Drink<\/p>\n<p>Those interested can provide their name, phone number, email and availability through the Fair\u2019s online sign-up form.
