The 27-year-old woman fatally struck by a wrong-way driver in Greenwich Village this week has been identified as a transplant from Massachusetts who was planning to get married next year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Valerie Schoeck \u2013 originally from Cambridge but living in the West Village \u2013 was crossing Morton Street at the Seventh Avenue South intersection just after 8:30 a.m. when a driver in a black van rammed into her, authorities and sources said.<\/p>\n
She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, but ultimately could not be saved, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
