<\/p>\nThe Queens College Choral Society is seeking new members for its 2026-27 concert season. Upcoming performances will include Handel\u2019s Messiah and the world premiere of work by composer Bruce Saylor, a faculty member in the college\u2019s Aaron Copland School of Music, that features arrangements of \u201cAmazing Grace\u201d and the spiritual, \u201cHe\u2019s Got the Whole World in His Hands.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Choral Society is a diverse ensemble that welcomes anyone with prior singing experience to audition, including members of the local community, Queens College faculty, staff, students, and alumni. High school students may participate through the society\u2019s high school outreach program. Those auditioning will be requested to demonstrate basic singing skills; no preparation is necessary. Rehearsals for members will be held weekly at the college on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:45 pm beginning September 2, 2026.<\/p>\n

In person auditions will take place in Room 350 of the college\u2019s music building. The college is located at 65-30 Kissena Boulevard, Flushing, New York 11367.<\/p>\n
From its founding in 1941, the Queens College Choral Society has offered the campus community\u2014and music lovers throughout New York City and Long Island\u2014the opportunity to learn and perform choral masterpieces. The society welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds and is open to anyone with prior singing experience.
