A Brooklyn grandmother who went missing for nearly two weeks<\/a> while visiting a longtime friend in Las Vegas has been found dead, KTNV reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Alisa Goods, 63, was last seen Aug. 8 as she left her friend\u2019s apartment near the Las Vegas Strip to go shopping at a CVS pharmacy.<\/p>\n

The mother of five\u2019s body was found early Thursday near Terminal 1 at Harry Reid International Airport \u2013 police responded to the area around 1:45 a.m. after a body was found, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

The outlet reported investigators found surveillance footage from the day she disappeared showing a woman believed to be Goods near the airport that same afternoon.<\/p>\n

Police have not yet divulged her cause of death or spoken about how she ended up at the airport, compounding her family\u2019s angst, which has steadily grown since they reported her missing.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur hearts are broken. We were notified that my aunt was found\u2014unfortunately, not the way we wanted her to be. This is an unimaginable time. Words cannot describe the pain our family is experiencing right now,\u201d Goods\u2019 heartbroken niece, Alana Calloway, said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just want to thank the public for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers. We also want to thank the media for helping bring attention to this situation. This hurts so deeply. We are still trying to learn the details surrounding her death. We ask for continued prayers and privacy as we grieve.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goods was in town visiting her friend of 20 years, Roger John, who called her \u201cthe nicest person you would meet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goods was found dead near Terminal 1 at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Thursday. KTNV<\/p>\n

John, who police said was not a suspect in her disappearance, aided in the search effort by pasting flyers featuring Goods\u2019 face around the area she was last seen.<\/p>\n

Her family said Goods had recently undergone several surgical procedures on her legs, which would make it difficult for her to get far on foot.<\/p>\n

After her disappearance, they grew increasingly suspicious when Goods\u2019 disconnected cell phone started sending messages asking for money, and eventually Bitcoin.<\/p>\n
