NEW YORK (1010 WINS) \u2014 The NYPD released surveillance footage on Thursday as they look to identify a man wanted after a dog was struck by a stray bullet in Brooklyn earlier this week.<\/p>\n
At approximately 5:46 p.m on Aug. 19, the suspect brandished a firearm in front of 218 31st Street in Greenwood Heights and discharged a round toward an unidentified man, police said.<\/p>\n
According to officials, the gunfire missed its intended target and struck a 7-year-old female dog instead. The injured animal was rushed by private means to a local animal hospital, where she is currently listed in stable condition. Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on 5th Avenue toward 36th Street.<\/p>\n
Police describe the suspect as a light-complexioned male. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, camouflage pants, a black hat, and multicolored sneakers. <\/p>\n
