A witness dialed 911 and EMS rushed her to Bellevue Hospital, but she could not be saved and was pronounced dead. Her identity is pending proper family notification.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the unidentified driver raced away northbound on 6th Avenue and then turned westbound to Waverly Place.\n<\/p>\n<p>No arrests have been made and the incident is being probed by the NYPD Highway District\u2019s Collision Investigation Squad.\n<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information regarding this hit-and-run can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA).
