Brooklyn Beckham made waves in January 2026 when he shared a multi-part Instagram Story<\/a> revealing that he is estranged from his parents, fashion mogul Victoria Beckham and former soccer star David Beckham. Much of the estrangement<\/a>, he revealed, has to do with his 2022 wedding to actress and heiress Nicola Peltz and the way his family allegedly behaved. <\/p>\n He also outlined mistreatment by his family, and an alleged desire to retain control over him. Since the estrangement, he has made sure that people know where he stands regarding his family. And now, he is making it clearer by covering up tattoos dedicated to his parents.<\/p>\n He started the process over a year ago.<\/p>\n Page Six first reported about the tattoo<\/a> being covered up in June 2025. He posed shirtless alongside his wife for Glamour magazine, and flowers appeared where the \u201cMama\u2019s Boy\u201d tattoo had been.\u00a0<\/p>\n According to the outlet, the flowers are likely modeled after the ones from Nicola\u2019s wedding bouquet.\u00a0<\/p>\n He also allegedly covered up a large heart tattoo that read \u201cMum\u201d on his shoulder, the outlet reported. It appears there is now a large flower and dragon tattoo in its place.<\/p>\n At the time, a source close to the embittered Brooklyn Beckham denied that he was intentionally covering up his tattoo.<\/p>\n \u201cAnyone can look at the photo and see \u2018mama\u2019s boy\u2019 is still right there, it was never covered up,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n But now, it is very clearly gone. USA Today reported that he recently shared a shirtless picture<\/a>, and the words are completely covered up by the floral design.<\/p>\n The cover-up isn\u2019t going to help ease tensions.<\/p>\n \u201cVictoria will be understandably upset<\/a> to see Brooklyn\u2019s tattoo for her all but gone,\u201d a source told Metro UK. \u201cIt\u2019s another blow towards the family and a sign that things won\u2019t improve between them any time soon.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the outlet, the \u201cMama\u2019s Boy\u201d tattoo is one of Brooklyn\u2019s earlier pieces of ink. It was first spotted in 2017.<\/p>\n But Brooklyn didn\u2019t just cover up the tattoo honoring his mom. He has also covered up the tattoos paying tribute to David<\/a>. Previously, he had an anchor reading \u201cDad,\u201d as well as \u201c1975,\u201d which is David\u2019s birth year.<\/p>\n A source told Metro UK in February that the elder Beckham was taking the snub as well as expected.<\/p>\n \u201cDavid is obviously heartbroken over Brooklyn\u2019s decision to cover up his tribute to him,\u201d the source said. \u201cIt feels like a deep cut, even after everything that was said in his statement.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite his son\u2019s desire to erase the past, David still wears his tributes proudly.
