The\u00a0\u200bweeping\u00a0husband of a\u00a0Long Island teacher and mom\u200b of four\u00a0killed when her car plunged into the family pool<\/a>\u00a0\u200bpaid\u00a0heartbreaking tribute\u00a0\u200bto her\u00a0Sunday \u2014 reciting a moving Jewish wedding prayer\u200b at her funeral\u200b.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry I didn\u2019t say that at her wedding. I can\u2019t imagine more fitting words for the woman you were,\u201d\u00a0\u200bsaid\u00a0Allison Rahmani\u2019s stricken husband, Matthew Rahmani\u200b \u2014 who was supposed to\u00a0embark on a romantic getaway to Paris\u200b with his 40-year-old wife the day she was laid to rest.<\/p>\n

The teacher and 40-year-old mom of four lost control of her car and plunged into the swimming pool at her home in Hewlett, Nassau County, on Friday. NBC New York<\/p>\n

Matthew\u200b, president of Irving Place Minyan Modern Orthodox Synagogue in Woodmere, read from the \u201cEshet Chayil,\u201d or \u201cWoman of Valor\u201d prayer,\u00a0which is often sung by the groom to his new bride at traditional Jewish\u00a0\u200bnuptials.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe husband told mourners<\/a>\u00a0at Boulevard-Riverside Chapels in Hewlett, Nassau County\u200b that his\u00a0wife\u00a0supported him through everything, even when\u00a0they had \u201clived paycheck to paycheck\u201d in their first apartment as the young couple built their life together.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery major decision point in our lives, you took me by the hand, you pulled me, you said it would be OK, that you believed in me, in us,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

Matthew praised his tragic wife as a mother and vowed to \u201cpick up where you left off\u201d raising their four children. Facebook\/Ally Rahmani<\/p>\n

Praising\u00a0her as a\u00a0\u200bdevoted\u00a0mother\u00a0to their four children, he described how Allison had \u201cnurtured them like delicate\u00a0plants\u201d\u00a0\u200band\u00a0said he\u00a0would \u201cpick up where you left off\u201d as a parent.<\/p>\n

The mom and educator died Friday when she\u00a0lost control of her SUV and plunged into the backyard pool\u00a0<\/a>at the family\u2019s Hewlett home.<\/p>\n

She managed to call for help but died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.\u00a0Her death remains under investigation.<\/p>\n

Friends said the tragedy came just days after her 40th birthday\u200b that\u00a0and the funeral was held on the\u200b same\u00a0day Allison and her husband\u200b were set to go on a European vacation.<\/p>\n

Instead, she was being mourned.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are broken\u200b,\u201d\u00a0All\u200bison\u2019s mother, Rachelle Rohde, said in her eulogy at Sunday\u2019s service\u200b.\u00a0\u201cWe will never be the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow Allison is in shemayim [heaven] with her favorite people in the world,\u201d she said. \u201cTo my beloved grandchildren \u2014 Nathan, Jake, Zachary and Princess Chlo Chlo \u2014 and of course to the one-of-a-kind, her beloved husband, Mat\u200bthew,\u00a0\u200bMama loves you all more than you will ever know and will be with you day and night.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know you are watching, I know,\u201d Rohde said, speaking to her daughter. \u201cWe won\u2019t let you down.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shayna Unger, a close friend and fellow teacher,\u00a0\u200bsaid Allison was fiercely passionate about the children she taught\u200b.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe loved her students,\u201d Unger said.<\/p>\n

When a school mom passed away, Allison went to incredible lengths to fill the void for her grieving children\u200b, the pal said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe thought about the little girls who no longer had their mother to do their hair,\u201d Unger recalled. \u201cSo Ali set up what was basically a beauty salon in her classroom \u2014 brushes, hair gels, barrettes, scrunchies, snacks waiting for them. And every morning, Ali did those girls\u2019 hair.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe wanted them walk into school looking and feeling like every other girl\u200b.\u00a0She wanted their school days to feel as normal as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of Allison\u2019s sister described her as \u201cthe life of the party,\u201d and an educator who taught \u201cbecause she loved to.<\/p>\n
