Everybody disable your autocorrect, because Queens of the Stone Age<\/a> have detailed their new album: Perfecth will be out October 30 on Matador Records<\/a> (not on September 30, as a teaser recently suggested<\/a>). A video for the single “Insignificant Other” is out now.<\/p>\n

The album was self-produced by QOTSA bandmates Josh Homme and Michael Schuman. About Perfecth ‘s curious title, Homme said that the misspelling is intended to highlight how perfection doesn’t actually exist. “Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be ‘perfecth,'” he said in a statement. “And that title is funny when you’re in a group, but it ain’t so funny when you’re alone.”<\/p>\n

It was made with the “broken is beautiful” philosophy of kintsugi, with “Insignificant Other” being captured on just the second take.<\/p>\n

Watch the video for that song below, directed by Chapman Baehler. A character named Big Chongus embodies the idea of “perfecth,” and a press release teases, “Find out if Big Chongus finds the perfect home.” You leave Big Chongus out of this!<\/p>\n

Perfecth also includes the recent single “Easy Street.” Scroll past the video below to see the tracklist, as well as the band’s upcoming tour schedule. They have Canadian shows opening for the Foo Fighters this September.<\/p>\n
