It’s late August. School is coming back. But summer isn’t over, so don’t throw in the towel just yet. Make the most of the final weeks of this good weather, good sunlight and good vibes. Whether you’ll be on the Upper West Side popping by Flower Power, or shopping at your local cannabis dispensary, there’s still time to make this New York summer feel like a movie.

This one feels made for New York. TKS Sensei’s Big Apple has that premium indoor look and aroma the second you open it – it’s so fresh, loud and clearly not some average shelf flower. Smooth smoke, great flavor and a balanced hybrid feel that hits without completely taking over your night.

Picture the perfect Upper West Side vibe: Walk through Riverside Park, grab something to eat on Amsterdam, or kick back after dealing with NYC all day. With summer still going strong and the city packed with outdoor events, this is exactly the type of flower I want around for a late August night in Manhattan.

Big Apple in the Big Apple just makes sense.

Milkweed’s Gorilla Glue X Bruce Banner already sounds serious, and the infused version definitely isn’t playing around. Strong, flavorful and much more of a heavy hitter than your everyday pre-roll. This is the one I’d save for when the day is done, and you’re ready to enjoy the city instead of fighting it.

Picture a summer night on the Upper West Side: Central Park is alive, people are heading toward SummerStage, restaurants are packed, and Manhattan still feels wide awake. That’s the energy this fits.

The 4-pack is also convenient because you’re not dealing with rolling anything yourself.

Definitely for experienced consumers. Gorilla Glue and Bruce Banner provide a great touch of infusion — and you have to respect the name.

Sometimes you don’t need anything complicated—you want a good 1g pre-roll, good flower, good burn, and something you can grab and go. MacStomper from Budding Bliss Farm hits that lane.

Nice hybrid feel, smooth enough to enjoy without feeling like you’re wrestling with the joint, and the 1g size is exactly right for sharing with friends. This feels like an NYC summer preroll: Riverside Park, walking the neighborhood, music in the city and catching the last stretch of summer before September comes flying in.

And right now, Riverside Park still has Summer on the Hudson programming happening on the Upper West Side, which makes the neighborhood one of my favorite places in Manhattan during this part of the year.

Angelo Kitkas, owner of Flower Power Dispensary.
