{"id":329378,"date":"2026-08-25T16:59:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T16:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/329378\/"},"modified":"2026-08-25T16:59:07","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T16:59:07","slug":"news-12-new-jersey-105","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/329378\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | New Jersey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">United Airlines is expanding its international footprint at Newark Liberty International Airport with new nonstop destinations beginning next year.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The airline announced new service from Newark to Luxembourg City, Luxembourg; Marseille, France; Ibiza and Valencia, Spain; Terceira, Portugal; Ljubljana, Slovenia; Olbia in Sardinia; and Catania in Sicily.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The new routes are scheduled to launch in March.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">United said six of the destinations will be served nonstop from the United States only through Newark.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">CEO Scott Kirby said the expansion is a major win for New Jersey travelers and the state&#8217;s economy.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">&#8220;Newark is now the most reliable of the three New York City airports. It&#8217;s still the New York airspace, but it&#8217;s still the most reliable of the three,&#8221; Kirby said.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">&#8220;It&#8217;s a huge benefit to the New Jersey region. All of this new growth, new routes, international routes are really what drive economic activity.
