NEW YORK (1010 WINS) \u2014 The NYPD released video footage asking for the public’s help to locate a 31-year-old suspect caught on surveillance video shooting a bodega worker, a crime now linked to a fatal weekend shooting at a Brooklyn restaurant.<\/p>\n
Just after 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a robbery at 149 Grill and Deli at 149th Street in Mott Haven, where a gunman shot a 33-year-old worker in the chest multiple times. The gunman also stole an unknown amount of currency from behind the register before fleeing the deli, officials said.<\/p>\n
Police also linked the gunman to a fatal shooting that happened on Sunday inside America’s Best Wings and Pizza in Brownsville, where officers found a 44-year-old man fatally shot in the head and a 39-year-old man shot in the leg.<\/p>\n
Authorities identified the alleged shooter as Jesus Acosta, a Bronx resident. He is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with distinctive tattoos including “Bronx” on his hand and “Bobby” on his left forearm.<\/p>\n
