Legendary \u201cThe Rocky Horror Picture Show\u201d and \u201cIt\u201d actor Tim Curry has died at age 80.<\/p>\n
The star died late Tuesday night at his Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, home \u2014 his cause of death has not yet been revealed.<\/p>\n
Fire department crews were called to Curry\u2019s house in North Hollywood at 10:42 p.m. local time for a medical event, where they found a deceased male on the scene, an LAFD spokesperson told The Post.<\/p>\n

No foul play is suspected in his death.<\/p>\n
The British-born actor and singer had struggled with major health issues for many years after suffering a stroke in 2012.<\/p>\n
He started his acting career in London theater, appearing as part of the original West End cast of the musical \u201cHair\u201d in 1968, where he met Richard O\u2019Brien \u2014 who went on to create Curry\u2019s iconic role of Dr Frank-N-Furter in \u201cThe Rocky Horror Show\u201d in 1973.<\/p>\n

The surprise cult hit transferred to Broadway before being adapted for the big screen in 1975 with a young Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick.<\/p>\n
Although initially a flop, the campy classic developed a devoted audience, who would often dress up as their favorite characters and sing along to songs including \u201cTime Warp,\u201d \u201cSweet Transvestite,\u201d and \u201cTouch-a-Touch-a-Touch-a-Touch Me.\u201d<\/p>\n
Curry built a career playing villainous characters, including the evil clown Pennywise in a two-part ABC adaptation of Stephen King\u2019s \u201cIt\u201d in 1990, where he dropped his trademark British brogue and employed a raspy American accent.<\/p>\n
He also appeared as the concierge in \u201cHome Alone 2\u201d and had scene-stealing roles in \u201cAddams Family Reunion,\u201d \u201cAnnie,\u201d \u201cClue,\u201d \u201cMuppet Treasure Island,\u201d \u201cScary Movie 2\u201d and \u201cThe Hunt for Red October.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curry received a Daytime Emmy Award in 1991 for his performance as Captain Hook in \u201cPeter Pan and the Pirates,\u201d as well as an Artistic Achievement Award in 2015 from The Actors Fund.<\/p>\n
He was also nominated three times for a Tony Award, including for \u201cAmadeus\u201d in 1981, \u201cMy Favorite Year\u201d in 1993, and \u201cSpamalot\u201d in 2005.<\/p>\n
