NYC socialist honcho Gustavo Gordillo\u2019s web of lies is unraveling fast after getting caught faking his address, his job, and apparently now \u2014 his own family\u2019s immigration story.<\/p>\n

And they\u2019re absolutely the exception.\u201d<\/p>\n But an unearthed 2021 obituary<\/a> about his paternal grandfather, Manuel Gordillo \u2014 the first of the family to move to the US \u2013paints a considerably different picture of the family\u2019s American roots.<\/p>\n \u201cManuel earned a medical degree from San Marcos University in Lima, Peru, and emigrated to the US in 1958 as a medical resident,\u201d it reads. \u201cHe obtained his US citizenship in 1964. He built a long and respected career as a psychiatrist in the Cleveland area and reluctantly retired at 87 years old!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n In the US the elder Gordillo met his wife Ruth, a nurse with whom he had nine children, including the DSA leader\u2019s father, also named Gustavo, according to the obituary \u2014 which lists his wife as Elizabeth.<\/p>\n Manuel Gordillo was the first of his family to move to the United States, where he established a psychiatric practice. buschcares.com\/<\/p>\n Public records show only one Gustavo Gordillo married to a woman named Elizabeth in the US. The DSA co-chair\u2019s\u00a0parents live in Miami, where his father, an engineer, founded a $90 million telecommunication firm<\/a>.<\/p>\n Yet Gordillo has repeatedly described his parents\u2019 beginnings in America as decidedly humble.<\/p>\n \u201cMy dad, his first job in the United States was working at Wendy\u2019s, my mom\u2019s first job was a house cleaner, and they did make a living for themselves, and they had success,\u201d Gordillo had whined on Fox News in July.<\/p>\n Gustavo E.
