Read our <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/betting-editorial-standards\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">editorial standards<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<p>The Yankees and Red Sox will play two Saturday in The Bronx.<\/p>\n<p>In Game 1 of the doubleheader, the Bombers will get another look at 25-year-old southpaw Jake Bennett, who has been solid for Boston since his <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/betting\/best-mlb-betting-sites-and-sportsbooks\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">big-league<\/a> debut in early May.<\/p>\n<p>Bennett enters the matchup 8-6 with a 3.49 ERA and 67 strikeouts over 87 2\/3 innings.<\/p>\n<p>He has already seen the Yankees once this season, giving Boston a quality outing when the rivals met earlier this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Bennett held the Yankees to one run on three hits over 6 1\/3 innings in a 4-1 Red Sox win on June 27, while walking two and striking out three.<\/p>\n<p>The youngster hasn\u2019t been nearly as sharp recently, though.<\/p>\n<p>He has allowed at least three earned runs in each of his past six starts, pitching to a 5.29 ERA over 34 innings during that stretch.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"   data-modal-image=\"40564190\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/GettyImages-2291190219.jpg\" alt=\"A Boston Red Sox pitcher on the mound throws a baseball.\" class=\"wp-image-40564190\"\/>Jake Bennett of the Boston Red Sox.
