{"id":33338,"date":"2025-11-08T21:58:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-08T21:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/33338\/"},"modified":"2025-11-08T21:58:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-08T21:58:08","slug":"2-men-arrested-in-violent-dyker-heights-carjacking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/33338\/","title":{"rendered":"2 men arrested in violent Dyker Heights carjacking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man was assaulted and carjacked early Saturday morning in Dyker Heights, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say the victim was approached by three men who dragged him out of his 2014 Toyota Sienna.<\/p>\n<p>The trio pretended to have a gun and began to punch him in the face before stealing his wallet and phone. <\/p>\n<p>Investigators say they forced the 37-year-old victim back into the car and then took off around 1 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Police initially received reports of shots being fired at 11th Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway.<\/p>\n<p>Officers later found the victim with minor injuries at 1319 84th St. He refused medical attention at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Police say they also located the car at Gowanus Expressway and 84th Street. <\/p>\n<p>Two of the suspects were taken into custody during the investigation.
