A Bronx straphanger who held the emergency gate open for other riders was slashed repeatedly during a Monday morning clash, according to cops and a report.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old man was knifed all over his body when tensions flared with a blade-wielding brute inside the No. 4 train station at West 170th Street and Jerome Avenue in Mount Eden, authorities said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The victim was holding the gate open when the violence erupted, AM NY reported<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made in the early-morning burst of violence.<\/p>\n

The attack came just days after a crazed stranger shoved an NYU security guard<\/a> heading to work onto the subway tracks in an unprovoked attack elsewhere in the Bronx, police said.<\/p>\n

That victim \u2013 identified by her cousin as Lydia Zuniga, 65 \u2013 was standing on the northbound No. 5 train platform at East 180th Street and Morris Park Avenue in Van Nest around 1:40 p.m. when the menace silently approached her from behind and shoved her onto the roadbed, police said.<\/p>\n

He later walked into a psychiatric clinic admitting what he\u2019d done, cops and sources said.<\/p>\n
