Former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has agreed to plead guilty to charges stemming from his alleged boozy brawl with a grease truck driver in the alley behind an Indianapolis hotel last year.<\/p>\n
Sanchez\u2019s attorneys and Indiana state prosecutors filed a joint motion on Wednesday asking that a judge vacate a Sept. 8 trial date and \u201cset this matter for a guilty plea and sentencing hearing.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ex-Fox Sports analyst got into a fight with truck driver Perry Tole after he parked his truck in an alley to collect cooking oil outside an Indianapolis hotel in early October 2025.<\/p>\n

The former football pro was stabbed during the melee, but authorities alleged he was the instigator.<\/p>\n
The 69-year-old truck driver was body-slammed by Sanchez, now 39, who police said reeked of booze.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tole then stabbed Sanchez in self-defense.\u00a0<\/p>\n

IMPD<\/p>\n In previous court documents, Tole\u2019s attorneys also accused Sanchez of having taken \u201cmultiple illegal substances<\/a>\u201d \u2014 including cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana \u2014 in addition to alcohol leading up to the altercation.<\/p>\n It\u2019s unclear to which charges Sanchez intends to plead guilty.<\/p>\n But he was hit with a slew of charges, including battery resulting in serious bodily injury, battery resulting in bodily injury, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.\u00a0<\/p>\n Perry Tole is the alleged victim suing Sanchez over the incident. He tells the detective he can only remember \u201cgrabbing for a window\u201d and nothing else about the incident.<\/p>\n Sanchez is rushed to the hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n The driver also suffered \u201csignificant injuries,\u201d<\/a> including lacerations to his cheek and jaw, with a cut that allegedly went through his cheek and hit his tongue.<\/p>\n Saturday<\/p>\n Sanchez undergoes surgery for stab wounds to the chest, and is stable.<\/p>\n
