Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square is now open in New York City. The 685-key, 22-story hotel in Manhattan was developed by Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Co. and is managed by Highgate.<\/p>\n
The property, housed in a landmark built for the 1964 New York World’s Fair, is near Times Square, Rockefeller Center, the Broadway Theater District and Central Park, IHG Hotels & Resorts said in a statement<\/a>. It offers city-view guestrooms and spaces for work and features locally inspired artwork and large-scale murals by Brazilian-born, Atlanta-based artist Tiago Magro.<\/p>\n The hotel features Fifty-First Street Social, its bar and all-day dining venue, and the 24\/7 Marketplace, offering grab-and-go options and travel essentials, the statement said. For business travelers and groups, the hotel offers meeting and event spaces for small team sessions. The Studio provides a private setting for focused collaboration near the lobby. A Meetings & Events Concierge service is also available.<\/p>\n The Manhattan Level, on the hotel’s upper floors, offers suites and guestrooms with skyline views. The Broadway Suite is a penthouse on the 22nd floor.<\/p>\n “Our ambition was to transform this landmark property into a distinctive destination that combines contemporary design, functionality and enhanced guest experiences,” said Tarek El Sayed, ARTIC managing director and CEO. “Working closely with IHG, we have reimagined the hotel while preserving its unique character, and we are delighted to see its new chapter begin as Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square.”<\/p>\n ARTIC, established in 2003<\/a> and led by El Sayed, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qatar-based Al Faisal Holding.
