The devastated daughter of a Brooklyn father of four who died Friday after another man cold-cocked him<\/a>, causing him to strike his head on the pavement outside his building, said she couldn’t bear the pain of telling her younger siblings their father was dead.<\/p>\n

Florencio Ramos Martinez, 42, was arguing with another man outside his building on Grattan St. near Varick Ave. in Bushwick<\/a> when his rival punched him around 3:40 a.m., cops said.<\/p>\n

The blow sent him reeling back onto the pavement, where he hit his head, police sources said.<\/p>\n

“He punched my dad\u2026 in the back of his head. He fell on the concrete. Instantly knocked him out<\/a>,” the victim’s daughter, 24-year-old Jennifer Ramos, told the Daily News through tears.<\/p>\n

“I’m devastated,” she said. “I just want to wake up.”<\/p>\n

Medics brought the victim to Elmhurst Hospital<\/a>, where he died a short time later.<\/p>\n

“They told us that he had no pulse,” Ramos said. “So already (on the way) to the hospital, he was already dead. They tried.”<\/p>\n

Ramos Martinez’s youngest children, including a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old daughter, remained unaware of the tragedy Friday night.<\/p>\n

“They don’t know anything yet,” said Ramos, who also has a 21-year-old sister. “We haven’t told them anything. We don’t know how to tell them.”<\/p>\n

The victim’s daughter said she was sleeping when her cousin’s screams awoke her, and she ran outside.<\/p>\n

“(My dad) was already on the floor,” she said. “They were doing CPR.”<\/p>\n

Ramos suspects a neighbor killed her father, saying the pair have quarreled in the past.<\/p>\n

“(My neighbor) is a very problematic person,” she said.<\/p>\n

It was not immediately clear why the two men were arguing, cops said. There was no arrest.<\/p>\n

Cops were scouring the area looking for surveillance footage to track the assailant’s escape.<\/p>\n

Ramos Martinez was a construction worker and enjoyed fishing.<\/p>\n
