But this year, the familiar booth is gone, too.

Kiki’s owner Bob Cosselmon decided to take the year off from the 13-day fair for several reasons, including the recent death of a longtime employee who worked the grill at Kiki’s.

Taking Kiki’s place on Restaurant Row this year is newcomer Mamacitas.

So, where can Kiki’s fans get their gyro fix at the Fair?

We found five spots serving gyros around the fairgrounds, including the crispy gyro, made popular by TikTok.

Gyros of the NYS Fair A classic lamb gyro from King David’s at the 2026 NYS Fair. Inside The Eatery, formerly the International Building, Stephen’s Greek Cuisine has outlasted a building name change, multiple fair directors, and a coronavirus pandemic. Owned by Stephen Nicolaos, he’s been making breakfast for fair workers and classic Greek dishes for over 40 years. His gyros come with thick pieces of lamb or chicken if you prefer, soft pita and all of the toppings you expect. His variations include a Buffalo chicken gyro, BBQ, and even a vegetarian version.

Order “My big fat Greek dinner” as a splurge.

Cost: $15 for gyros

Gyros of the NYS Fair A classic gyro from the Butcher Boys at the 2026 NYS Fair. Sweeter than some, the pita wrapped dish comes with a healthy amount of tzatziki, so make sure to grab some extra napkins. It can be topped with a creamy, garlicky sauce that’s thinner than traditional tzatziki, along with hot sauce for those who like some heat.
