Robert Mecea for NY Post<\/p>\n<p>The 43-year-old bus driver, unaware that she hit a pedestrian, kept driving, the NYPD said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Police said it\u2019s unclear if the victim was intoxicated or inadvertently\u00a0walked off the sidewalk. <\/p>\n<p>Medics rushed the victim to NYC Health\u00a0+ Hospitals\/Kings County but he could not be saved.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"   data-modal-image=\"40691735\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/2026-according-nypd-dcpi-58-139829297.jpg\" alt=\"crime scene\" class=\"wp-image-40691735\"\/>A 58-year-old man was killed by a hit-and-run MTA bus driver Saturday night in Flatbush.  Robert Mecea for NY Post<\/p>\n<p>The victim\u2019s pal told <a href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/man-struck-and-killed-by-b44-mta-bus-in-flatbush-hit-and-run\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">News 12<\/a> that he was a \u201cwell known\u201d figure in the Flatbush neighborhood.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was a very nice person.
