Trans Voices Cabaret, the showcase celebrating trans and nonbinary performers and creators, returns to Manhattan on Saturday, September 19, for an evening of music, comedy and performance at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/things-to-do\/caveat\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Caveat<\/a> on\u00a0the\u00a0Lower East Side.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transvoicescabaretnyc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Trans Voices Cabaret<\/a> has carved out a space for trans artists to take center stage and showcase work that doesn\u2019t always get the spotlight it deserves. The September lineup features live talents including Ernest Allen, Roachee Babee, Sam Campos, Rylynn Davis, X Hernandez, Jalen Jones, Natalia Ramos and Jett Roberts.\u00a0TVC creator Donnie Cianciotto will emcee, with musical direction by Farrah Rotman.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s more important than ever to focus on trans joy and creativity. Trans joy is resistance,\u201d Cianciotto said in a statement. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful as always to be back at Caveat where we can celebrate the diversity, talent, and resilience of the trans and nonbinary community. Expect a mix of performance styles and personalities, with the evening designed as a celebration of trans voices rather than a solemn lecture. Created in 2017 by trans actor and producer Cianciotto, Trans Voices Cabaret&#8217;s purpose is to give trans and nonbinary performers an opportunity to work together.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the month is equally compelling at\u00a0Caveat. September offerings include literary-meets-burlesque spectacle Books and Burlesque on September 12, and sketch comedy Fun in Moderation on September 19. Science nerds get their moment on September 23 with Science Tonight! \u2014 A Climate Carol, a very Caveat-y blend of science and comedy timed to Climate Week. There\u2019s also Tom D\u2019s Big New York Show, a tour of the city through history, trivia and comedy, and Modern Whitney (September 12), in which comedians attempt to explain what famous artworks mean before an art expert reveals the truth. In other words, there&#8217;s something for everyone this month.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/caveat.nyc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Caveat<\/a> is located at 21A Clinton Street.
