A New York-based retirement planning company has opened a second headquarters in Milwaukee, adding another technology-oriented tenant to the Eagleknit Innovation Hub in Walker\u2019s Point.<\/p>\n

Retirable<\/a>, founded in 2019, announced Thursday that its Milwaukee office is now open and will initially house approximately 10 employees. The company said it plans to hire more employees as it builds Milwaukee into a second operating hub alongside its New York City headquarters.<\/p>\n

The company provides retirement planning, investment management and income planning services, pairing clients with financial advisors while also using automated technology.<\/p>\n

Retirable\u2019s Milwaukee expansion comes with a hometown connection. Co-founder and CEO Tyler End<\/a> grew up in Shorewood and attended the UW-Milwaukee<\/a> before launching the company in New York in 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs more and more Americans are turning to Retirable for personalized retirement guidance, we\u2019ve reached a point where establishing a presence beyond New York makes sense,\u201d said End in a statement. \u201cMilwaukee offers an incredible combination of financial services expertise, exceptional talent, and a rapidly developing tech community.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOn a personal level, it\u2019s also where I grew up, so having the opportunity to build part of Retirable\u2019s future here makes this especially meaningful,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The company said its number of clients in Milwaukee increased 25% during the past year, while its Midwest client base grew 44%. Retirable said its assets under management increased 110% during the same period and its workforce grew 25%.<\/p>\n

The Milwaukee office will primarily serve Retirable\u2019s operations and finance teams and will include a mix of locally hired employees and workers relocating from its New York operation.<\/p>\n

Retirable is leasing space from Wangard Partners<\/a> at the tech hub, 507 S. 2nd St.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cHaving a leading fintech company like Retirable establish its second headquarters in Milwaukee is a strong vote of confidence in our city\u2019s talent and momentum we\u2019re seeing across our technology and financial services communities,\u201d said Department of City Development<\/a> Commissioner Lafayette Crump<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The move adds Retirable to a growing collection of businesses and organizations at Eagleknit and places it within Milwaukee\u2019s recently designated \u201cinnovation district,\u201d which is centered on Walker\u2019s Point and extends into portions of the Harbor District<\/a>, Walker Square and Menomonee Valley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wangard redeveloped the former Eagleknit Knitting Mills factory as a technology-focused office complex. The four-story building was constructed in 1928 and originally contained approximately 107,000 square feet. A $30 million redevelopment was completed in 2021. The project included a 30,000-square-foot glass addition designed by Gensler<\/a> and constructed by Findorff<\/a>.<\/p>\n

National contract furniture dealer Henricksen<\/a> became one of Eagleknit\u2019s largest tenants earlier this year when it relocated its Milwaukee-area operation from Brookfield. The company opened a 14,500-square-foot office and showroom on the building\u2019s fourth floor for approximately 25 employees.<\/p>\n

Other Eagleknit tenants include workforce training nonprofit i.c.stars<\/a>, Dan Beyer Architects<\/a>, Tredo Group<\/a>, REYN Engineering<\/a>, Forward Community Investments<\/a>, SRH<\/a> and Islands of Brilliance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Retirable was founded by End and Ian Yamey<\/a>. The privately held company says it has helped thousands of clients develop retirement plans and is backed by investors including Nationwide, Western & Southern Financial Group and Primary Venture Partners. As of 2025, it had raised more than $25 million.<\/p>\n

The business is initially operating from the coworking space located in the building.<\/p>\n
