The Lindenwood Women’s Rugby team begins week two of their regular season with a neutral site road trip to Hendersonville, Tennessee where they will begin NIRA play against Queens. The Lions are coming off of a 51-0 win over Southern Nazarene in the season opener last Sunday with five different players scoring their first tries of the 2026 season. Jennie Weiner<\/a> led the way offensively with three tries, while Jasmine Fehoko<\/a> and Ava Reuter<\/a> each scored two tries of their own in the first half where the Lions opened up a commanding 32-0 lead at the break. In the second half, Anna Wright<\/a> and Kanani Watts<\/a> both scored their first tries as a member of the Black and Gold to help Lindenwood\u00a0improve their record to\u00a01-0.\u00a0<\/p>\n \nLions Storylines<\/p>\n

\n\tLindenwood is 3-0 all-time against Queens, with two of the three wins taking place in 2025. In the most recent matchup between the two squads, the Lions defeated the Royals by a score of 116-0 in the\u00a0first ever NIRA matchup between Queens and Lindenwood.
\n\tThe 51 point victory on Sunday over Southern Nazarene was the most points scored in a season opener since the 2024-25 season when the Lions put up\u00a092 points against the Crimson Storm on October 12, 2024.\u00a0
\n\tJoselin Roque Lopez<\/a> made her final three\u00a0conversions in Sunday’s matchup, giving\u00a0her the team lead in that category.\u00a0

\n\tThe Royals went 2-5 in NIRA play last season, picking up wins over Mount St. Mary’s and Princeton.\u00a0
\n\tIn the Spring of 2026, Queens advanced to the Collegiate Rugby Championship semifinals and defeated West Chester University of Pennsylvania by a score of 12-0.\u00a0\u00a0
