{"id":344489,"date":"2026-09-11T23:56:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-11T23:56:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/344489\/"},"modified":"2026-09-11T23:56:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T23:56:11","slug":"business-group-discusses-possibility-of-liability-reform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/344489\/","title":{"rendered":"Business group discusses possibility of liability reform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this week, the Empire Center released a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empirecenter.org\/publications\/opinion-poll-tort-reform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Cygnal survey of 600 likely voters<\/a>\u00a0along with two other pro-business organizations: the Lawsuit Reform Alliance and Upstate United.<\/p>\n<p>According to Justin Wilcox, executive director of Upstate United, the organizations are laying the groundwork for further liability reform in Albany in January when the Legislature is back in session.
