The central theme for the event was the phrase \u201cWe will never forget.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The key speaker was retired New York City firefighter Carl Graziano.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI wished that I could forget some of the things I saw that day. Some of the things I smelled that day and the sadness that fills my heart,\u201d Graziano said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Graziano said not a single firefighter refused to report for duty that day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe were so full of hope that we could rescue so many people from the buildings that day,\u201d Graziano said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Blue Ash held an event marking the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/ADTQZBWVQVB23OMD73TGPV5K2Y.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Blue Ash held an event marking the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11(wxix)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Graziano presented the Blue Ash fire department and the Blue Ash police department with a flag his firehouse had with them on 9\/11.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Blue Ash police Chief Roger Pohlman received the flag.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI was not expecting that flag. That\u2019s pretty cool that this flag was flown at Ground Zero.
