It’s been a long week of tough remembrance of the 9\/11 terror attacks, as America commemorates 25 years since the tragedy.<\/p>\n

It’ll all culminate with an NBC special on Friday night that’ll show dramatic, emotional footage from the NBC News archives, including never-before-seen images from that day.<\/p>\n

Facing Ground Zero: A Dateline Special, anchored by Lester Holt, will profile New Yorkers whose experiences were captured, moment by moment in real time, by NBC News cameras on Sept. 11, 2001.<\/p>\n

“In powerful new interviews they reflect on what they saw, what they survived and how the attacks indelibly shaped their lives and the country,” the logline reads.<\/p>\n

The special will air tonight, September 11 at 10pm ET and be available to stream beginning tomorrow, September 12, on Peacock<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The show will be followed by a special edition of NBC Nightly News Presents: Great Americans: Service and Sacrifice, featuring stories of Americans who answered the call for their country, which you can watch on NBC News NOW.<\/p>\n

And don’t miss this week’s “Here\u2019s the Scoop” podcast that’ll feature guests who were children on 9\/11. The show will explore how becoming parents has shaped their perspective on that historic day.
