{"id":345166,"date":"2026-09-12T19:34:08","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T19:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/345166\/"},"modified":"2026-09-12T19:34:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T19:34:08","slug":"news-12-long-island-225","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/345166\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Long Island"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The New York City Department of Health (DOH) confirmed the Legionnaires\u2019 disease outbreak in the Bronx has grown to eight confirmed cases as of Saturday morning. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">According to officials, the cluster is in parts of Melrose and Morrisania, including ZIP codes 10451 and 10456.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The New York City Department of Health <a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/brooklyn.news12.com\/2026\/09\/11\/legionnaires-cluster-reported-in-the-south-bronx-1-dead-5-others-diagnosed\/30uY0g6jSTG87jVLQNznEn\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said Thursday<\/a> that five people in the South Bronx had been diagnosed with Legionnaires&#8217; disease and that one person had died.
