<\/p>\n CHARLOTTE, N.C. \u2013 The Presbyterian College volleyball team (6-5) suffered a defeat in its final match of the Queens Fall Classic on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 12), falling to Queens in three sets 16-25, 17-25, 21-25 at Curry Arena.<\/p>\n Anisa Dorlouis<\/a> recorded 18 assists and 13 digs, leading the team in both categories to log her eighth double-double of the year.<\/p>\n Meredith Reisman<\/a> led Presbyterian at the net, posting four blocks. Courtney Williams<\/a> pitched in three blocks to go along with eight kills.<\/p>\n Offensively, Emma McHatten<\/a> powered the Blue Hose with nine kills.<\/p>\n HOW IT HAPPENED<\/p>\n SET ONE \u2013 QUEENS 25, PC 16<\/p>\n – Two blocks from Meredith Reisman<\/a> and Ashley Dienes<\/a> kicked off the afternoon for the Blue Hose, helping PC start out with a 4-1 lead. PC stayed in front by a narrow margin early, as two kills by Emma McHatten<\/a> put Presbyterian up 8-7.<\/p>\n – The tides turned in Queens’ favor in the middle of the set, as the Royals grabbed a 17-13 advantage.<\/p>\n – Reisman got PC back within three with a kill down 18-15, but the Royals controlled the rest of the frame. Queens finished the set on a 7-1 run to claim the opening set.<\/p>\n SET TWO \u2013 QUEENS 25, PC 17<\/p>\n \u00a0– Presbyterian jumped out to a quick lead in the second, winning seven of the first nine points. Courtney Williams<\/a> led the way early with two kills and a block.\u00a0<\/p>\n – Back-to-back kills from McHatten extended the Blue Hose lead to six up 12-6 before the momentum shifted.<\/p>\n – The Royals embarked on a 13-1 run to flip the script in the frame, going up 19-13 in the set. An attack error got Presbyterian back within five, but Queens took the second set 25-17 to grab a 2-0 lead in the match.<\/p>\n SET THREE \u2013 QUEENS 25, PC 21<\/p>\n – Presbyterian once again started out in front, claiming a 7-4 lead after kills by Kaylie Bourn<\/a> and Williams. The Blue Hose went up five after the first service ace of Reagan Hare’s<\/a> collegiate career.<\/p>\n – However, Queens chipped away at the lead, closing the gap to two down 17-15. A kill by McHatten followed by a service ace from Sophia Verdicchio<\/a> put PC back up four before the Royals made one more push.<\/p>\n – Queens closed out the match on a 7-1 run to finish the weekend, picking up a 3-0 victory over the Blue Hose.<\/p>\n NOTABLES<\/p>\n – This was the second meeting between the two teams this season. PC defeated the Royals last Saturday (Sept. 5) in four sets in Greenville, S.C.<\/p>\n – Overall, this was the third matchup between the two teams in PC’s DI era.<\/p>\n – Anisa Dorlouis<\/a> registered her eighth double-double of the season.<\/p>\n – Meredith Reisman<\/a> logged four blocks to lead Presbyterian. She has produced at least four blocks in six matches this season.<\/p>\n – Ashley Dienes<\/a> made her collegiate debut, also making her first career start.<\/p>\n
