Josephine Pinnock, one of New York’s top high school prospects in the 2027 class, is on an official visit to Syracuse women’s basketball, a source told Inside the Loud House on Saturday. She also noted her trip to the Hill via her Instagram page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pinnock, a 5-foot-10 point guard, attends Christ the King High School in Middle Village, N.Y. In grassroots hoops, she suits up for the Rosedale, N.Y.-based Positive Direction<\/a>, whose founder and executive director, JoAnn Arbitello Pinnock, is Josephine Pinnock’s mom.<\/p>\n

The Orange staff, led by head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, offered a scholarship to Pinnock on July 19, 2026, as she took an unofficial visit to the ‘Cuse, according to her Instagram account<\/a>. Besides Syracuse, her full scholarship offer sheet includes schools such as East Carolina, Hofstra, Memphis, William & Mary, Iona, Manhattan, Seton Hall, Georgetown, George Washington, Siena and Northeastern, among others.<\/p>\n

In June, when Prep Girls Hoops updated its 2027 rankings for the Empire State, Pinnock checked in at No. 3 overall. She had a tremendous junior season. Let’s delve into that.<\/p>\n

Syracuse women’s basketball is hosting 2027 PG Josephine Pinnock on an official visit.<\/p>\n

During the 2025-26 campaign, Pinnock averaged 19.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game, according to social media posts. For her efforts, Pinnock was named the New York State Catholic High School Athletic Association (“CHSAA”) AAA player of the year.<\/p>\n

She also resided on the New York State Sportswriters Association (“NYSSWA”) All-State first team in the AAA division. Christ the King was a state runner-up in the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n

Last month, Derrick Beechum, the founder of OWU Insights & Analytics, posted an evaluation of Pinnock. Beechum says that the Syracuse recruiting target has great positional size and a high basketball IQ.<\/p>\n

The data analytics guru also praises Pinnock for her rebounding and versatility in being able to guard multiple positions. He wrote that Pinnock’s “vision and basketball IQ provide the foundation. She processes developing actions, organizes possessions and creates opportunities for teammates while maintaining her own scoring pressure. … Defensively, her size creates matchup flexibility across guard positions. She also flashes functional athleticism that expands her creation, rebounding and defensive ceiling.”<\/p>\n

The fall recruiting period opened a few days ago, so we’ll see Syracuse women’s basketball coaches<\/a> hitting the road to check out prospects at high school open gyms while also having recruiting targets on visits to the SU campus.<\/p>\n

Chance Berry, a four-star guard in the 2027 class from Canada, is expected to take an official visit to the Orange during the weekend that begins on September 18, Inside the Loud House has reported<\/a>. The 5-foot-11 combo guard, out of the DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla., recently included Syracuse in her top eight.<\/p>\n
