(WCAX) &#8211; A steel beam from Ground Zero that has spent more than a decade traveling across Vermont is now on display at Currier\u2019s Market, marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Glover Fire Chief Philip Brooks\u2019 mother received the beam as a gift. She was working as an EMT in Barton during the attacks, and afterward, raised money for a small town near New York City that was hit hard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">That town\u2019s mayor, who was also a New York City fire lieutenant, gave her the beam to say thank you.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Many fire departments across the country received steel from Ground Zero after 9\/11, but this beam is different. It was never cleaned, unlike most other pieces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">For the 25th anniversary, Brooks offered to display the beam somewhere central: Currier\u2019s Market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201c(It\u2019s) crazy that its been 25 years. It doesn\u2019t seem like it has been, but yet, it has been. So yeah, it\u2019s just a full circle, I believe, that now we\u2019ve got a piece of it in our store in the little town of Glover,\u201d said Raymond Sweeney, Currier\u2019s Market owner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The beam has a permanent home at the Glover Fire Station.
