{"id":345377,"date":"2026-09-13T03:04:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-13T03:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/345377\/"},"modified":"2026-09-13T03:04:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-13T03:04:10","slug":"suspect-arrested-in-connection-to-murder-of-washington-heights-woman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/345377\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspect arrested in connection to murder of Washington Heights woman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A suspect was arrested Saturday in connection to the murder of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/newyork\/news\/washington-heights-woman-found-dead-nypd\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">a Washington Heights woman<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tiliek Thompson, 41, is accused of killing Lovay Williams, 27, who was found dead inside her apartment on West 156th Street on Sept. 6.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, a relative called 911 to request a wellness check. Police sources say when officers arrived at the apartment, Williams&#8217; 5-year-old daughter answered the door.<\/p>\n<p>Officers found Williams unconscious and unresponsive on her bed with trauma to the face and neck.
