An armed police officer was dragged to the ground by a speedy BMW as he tried to stop the vehicle from traveling the wrong way down a one-way street in Times Square, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n
The 2020 BMW X3 was at 46th Street and Seventh Avenue around 3 a.m. Saturday when the cop grabbed the passenger side door, police said.<\/p>\n
But the silver SUV zipped away, and \u201cdragged the cop to the ground\u201d in the process, a police spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
As the car drives off, other officers rush to help, but the floored cop was already back on his feet, shocking video posted by Viral News NYC shows.<\/p>\n
The officer was taken to a local hospital for injuries to his left shoulder and knee, police said.<\/p>\n
