The fiend who allegedly fatally beat a mom in front of her 7-year-old daughter<\/a> and then left the frightened tot with the body whined in Manhattan court Sunday that he needed to be put in protective custody.<\/p>\n

Tiliek Shamel Thompson, 41, beat to death 27-year-old Lovay Williams with her child in the home<\/a>, then carted off evidence in blue shopping bags and cut his hair to try to dodge detection, prosecutors and the victim\u2019s kin said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGive him the gas chamber!\u201d the dead woman\u2019s father, Nuquan Williams, screamed at Judge Linda Capitti during Thompson\u2019s arraignment.<\/p>\n

Thompson was ordered held without bail on charges including murder and strangulation for the grisly Sept. 6 slaying inside Lovay Williams\u2019 Washington Heights apartment.<\/p>\n

He turned himself in to cops Saturday after receiving numerous threats, according to his lawyer, Neville \u201cNod\u201d Mitchell \u2014 who asked the judge to provide the accused killer with protective measures while in jail.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would ask for protective services,\u2019\u2019 Mitchell said, adding that his client told him he \u201chas a psych diagnosis.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams\u2019 fuming aunt Missy Wright later said outside court, \u201cHow dare you ask for protected custody.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow dare you ask the courts to protect you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another cousin, Lexus Singleton, said, \u201c It\u2019s just very frustrating.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis lawyer tried to make him like he was an angel, and it was a slap in the face to the family. But one thing I will say, we will get justice, and we have strong evidence on this case. So he will not get away with this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thompson was granted protection in jail.<\/p>\n

Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Michael Perez said surveillance video captured Thompson entering the apartment Sept. 5 and leaving the next day after making two trips to retrieve items from the apartment, carting them off in \u201cdistinct\u201d blue shopping bags.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Mitchell suggested at one point that someone else could have come and gone from the crime scene by a window.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the f\u2013k?\u201d a family member said.<\/p>\n

After allegedly killing Williams, Thompson went on the run.<\/p>\n

Thompson was charged after turning himself in at the 33rd Precinct stationhouse on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe heat was on and either way he was gonna get caught,\u201d Williams\u2019 dad told The Post earlier Sunday. \u201cHe had no choice but to turn himself in. The streets were looking for him.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement was looking for him, and he knew he had to do the right thing by turning himself in to face what he did, because he knew he was wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0Singleton said Thompson cut his hair after the incident to throw cops off his trail.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Mitchell urged people Sunday to withhold judgment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just asking people to let the process play out,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd whatever my client is charged with and found guilty or not guilty of it, you know, we\u2019re here to adjudicate that specifically with respect to my client.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams\u2019 sister, Asia Walker, said the family had known Thompson for some time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s confusing to me because we knew this man for too long,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t even know what caused this. I can\u2019t remember her saying they even argued before.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lovay\u2019s mom, Moinica Manners, said Sunday that her granddaughter is \u201cholding up the best that a 7-year-old that witnessed such a heinous crime could.\u201d<\/p>\n
