NBC 4 New York\/WNBC and Telemundo 47\/WNJU\u00a0announced the return of their annual holiday Star Choir contest for Tri-State youth singing groups.\u00a0 Continuing through Monday, October 12, organizations can submit their application by visiting\u00a0 nbcnewyork.com\/choir<\/a> or telemundo47.com\/choir<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The winner will be invited to perform during NBC\u2019s \u201cChristmas in Rockefeller Center\u201d broadcast, scheduled for Wednesday, December 2.\u00a0 Previous Star Choir winners include P.S. 103 in The Bronx<\/a> (2021),\u00a0 P.S.14 in Corona, Queens<\/a> (2022), High Tech High School of the Hudson County Schools of Technology<\/a> (2023), Neptune High School\u2019s Scarlet Sound A Cappella Choir<\/a> (2024) and <\/a>Franklin High School\u2019s Gold ‘N Blues Student Choir<\/a> (2025).<\/p>\n

We cannot wait to continue this special NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47 holiday tradition and welcome this year\u2019s winners to 30 Rock.\u201d<\/p>\n

Specific holiday singing competition rules include:<\/p>\n

The contest is restricted to participants residing within WNBC\u2019s viewing areas in New York, New Jersey, Fairfield County, Connecticut and Pike County, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

Singing groups must have a minimum of 10 members and a maximum of 35 members.<\/p>\n

All entrants must be between the ages of 6 and 18 years of age.<\/p>\n

Entrants can submit a video performance of any holiday-themed song, up to 3 minutes long.<\/p>\n

Entrants chosen for a second round:<\/p>\n

Will be required to submit formal parental consent to proceed in the process.<\/p>\n

Will be asked to perform and submit an original, second performance of \u201cUp on the Housetop.\u201d<\/p>\n
