<\/a>Street Hearts, an internet dating show centered around putting strangers together for a blind first date on the streets of NYC.Photo by Dylan Christie<\/p>\n\u201cIt was my time to show that people can look different, find love and feel confident as they are, and when I started making my content I wanted to embody that too, and that\u2019s always been my ethos,\u201d Baira said. \u201cYou have to put yourself out there, you have to be proud of who you are, and the person that sees that, that\u2019s what true love is. It\u2019s not about changing. It\u2019s cool because I feel like Street Hearts really embodies that as well \u2013 we just want people to show up at the table and see what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n
When Baira created \u201cStreet Hearts\u201d specifically, she was not sure if the show would be a hit or not. For her, creating the show was an answer to the common frustrations she was hearing regarding dating. Namely: why was it so hard?<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was really about fixing a need, which is that dating is shit and we don\u2019t know what to do about it,\u201d Baira said. \u201cMaking this show was about actually helping my friends and people that I know find love, and then it just expanded.\u201d<\/p>\n
As of September 2026, \u201cStreet Hearts\u201d has more than 500,000 followers on TikTok and 200,000 on Instagram; Baira herself has upwards of 300,000 across both platforms.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The show is produced by Fallen Media, who partnered with Baira in March 2023 to launch the series after discovering her earlier that year. Rowan Winch, Co-founder and chief social officer of Fallen Media, spoke about how the company had been planning on launching a dating show for quite some time \u2013 after coming across Baira, they knew they had found the host.<\/p>\n \u201cShe just was the human personification of confidence and vigor; she\u2019s fantastic,\u201d Winch said. \u201cWe didn\u2019t know that it was going to do well or not, but as soon as we saw the first few episodes, we just loved it.\u201d<\/p>\n Stefanie Sack, senior producer of \u201cStreet Hearts\u201d and director of production at Fallen Media, was a part of the team that scouted Baira as host. To her, Baira\u2019s ability to put people at ease is what can make the show so special.<\/p>\n \u201cI think why it\u2019s so impactful and why she\u2019s the perfect person, is because she\u2019s able to really pull so much energy and so much light out of anyone,\u201d Sack said. \u201cOur best performing videos are just normal people that really want to be on the show, that want to put themselves out there, and Tiff is the only person I can really imagine that can pull any sort of questions out of people, any sort of emotions.\u201d<\/p>\n The show started with Baira and the production team approaching people in the area, day-of, to participate in a blind date. As the program expanded and celebrity appearances became more common, \u201cStreet Hearts\u201d switched to a different method of casting, allowing anyone to submit an intake form<\/a> which would be used in the matchmaking process. But no matter who ends up on the date, it will likely take place on the street.<\/p>\n \u201cEven a backdrop that looks like a street would not feel as authentic,\u201d Sack said. \u201cNo matter what the season is, what the time of year is, doing it outside adds so much New York light and life to the type of content we\u2019re creating.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n After years of videos and hundreds of dates, \u201cStreet Hearts\u201d has become a staple short-form dating show for thousands online. Baira hopes that fans of the show use it not just as entertainment, but a boost of inspiration as well.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter someone watches an episode and puts their phone down, my hope is that they actually get on a date,\u201d Baira said. \u201cI hope they shoot their shot with their crush at the coffee shop.
