Donald Trump\u2019s childhood home has officially changed hands \u2014 and the presidential pedigree appears to have paid off.<\/p>\n
The Tudor-style Jamaica Estates house\u00a0where Trump spent his earliest years<\/a>\u00a0has sold for $1.93 million, listing agent Joe Zhu of RE\/MAX Edge confirmed exclusively to The Post.<\/p>\n That\u2019s nearly $1.1 million more than the $835,000 developer Tommy Lin paid for the rundown Queens property last year \u2014 before pouring more than $500,000 into\u00a0an eight-month gut renovation<\/a>.<\/p>\n The final price also came within $70,000 of its most recent $1.99 million asking price.<\/p>\n The deal closes the loop on a sale\u00a0The Post first reported in July<\/a>, when the five-bedroom home went into contract but the agreed-upon price had not been revealed.<\/p>\n Built by Fred Trump in 1940, the president\u2019s childhood home has sold for $1.93 million.Anastazia Swerer-McNutt for Allyson Lubow Photography<\/p>\n At the time, Zhu said the offer was \u201cvery close\u201d to asking.<\/p>\n Turns out, it was.<\/p>\n Zhu said the home\u2019s connection to the president was a major draw for prospective buyers, with many interested in the property for more than just its bricks and mortar.<\/p>\n The Trump family later moved to a house nearby.Aaron Schwartz\/CNP\/Bloomberg via Getty Images<\/p>\n \u201cThere were quite a lot of people\u201d interested because it was Trump\u2019s former home, Zhu told The Post, adding that some saw additional historical value in owning the property.<\/p>\n The roughly 3,100-square-foot residence at 85-15 Wareham Place has come a long way from the condition Lin found it in.<\/p>\n The residence fills with light.Anastazia Swerer-McNutt for Allyson Lubow Photography<\/p>\n When he bought the property for $835,000 in 2025, it had sat vacant for years, suffered damage from a burst pipe and mold \u2014 and had even become home to a colony of feral cats, as The Post previously reported.<\/p>\n Lin\u2019s renovation brought in a chef\u2019s kitchen, herringbone floors and spa-like bathrooms while leaving its distinctive Tudor-style exterior intact.<\/p>\n A rendering of the dining room.Anastazia Swerer-McNutt for Allyson Lubow Photography<\/p>\n The five-bedroom, four-bath property initially returned to the market for $2.3 million before being taken off the market and later relisted. After another price cut, it was asking just under $2 million when it found a buyer this summer.<\/p>\n But no renovation can replicate the house\u2019s biggest claim to fame.<\/p>\n Trump\u2019s father, real estate developer Fred Trump, built the brick-and-stucco residence in 1940.
