Brooklyn is about to become the ultimate destination for wine lovers as the inaugural Black & Brown Winemakers Experience<\/a> takes over Williamsburg for a one-of-a-kind night where wine, food, music, and culture come together, made for US by US.<\/p>\n On Friday, Sept. 18, Pop Pairings,<\/a> Bed-Vyne Wine & Spirits, and Bring BK Back Day Party, presented in partnership with The Veraison Project\u2014a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access and opportunity throughout the wine industry\u2014will bring the inaugural Black & Brown Winemakers Experience to 75 Stewart Ave in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Hosted by Ken Pettus with music by the legendary DJ Spinna, the experience is designed for everyone from curious first-time wine drinkers to seasoned collectors.\u00a0<\/p>\n RELATED CONTENT: Pour It Up, Sis \u2014 6 Black-Owned Brands To Celebrate National Moscato Day<\/a><\/p>\n What to expect at the inaugural Black & Brown Winemakers Experience?<\/p>\n Guests will have the opportunity to taste 40-plus wines from Black and Brown winemakers and producers, with curated bites and crafted mocktails rounding out the experience. But this isn\u2019t your typical wine tasting. Before sipping, each guest will take a personal 60-second Flavor Profile test, created to help uncover their palate and point them toward wines they\u2019re more likely to love.<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t just an event \u2014 it\u2019s a call to action and an opportunity to celebrate, amplify, and showcase the passion, love, and dedication Black and Brown winemakers continue to bring to an industry where they remain significantly underrepresented, making up less than 1% of American winemakers.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWe want people to discover these wines, know the people behind them, and help us change who gets seen, supported, and celebrated in this industry,\u201d said Sally Stewart and Sandye Wilson, the founders of Pop Pairings, a platform deeply committed to championing Black winemakers and spirit owners.<\/p>\n Read more about the Black & Brown Winemakers Experience after the flip. <\/p>\n How do you get a ticket to the Black & Brown Winemakers Experience?<\/p>\n Attendees can choose their own adventure with an array of ticket options. The Tasting Experience is $95, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. This is where the party really gets flowing. Tasting Experience guests will explore 40-plus wines from Black and Brown winemakers and producers, paired with curated bites and crafted mocktails. The evening also includes a personal 60-second Flavor Profile test, a branded tasting passport, a wine discovery scavenger hunt, raffles, special giveaways, and a silent auction benefiting The Veraison Project.<\/p>\n The Reserve Circle is $135, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. sharp. For those ready to take their wine experience a little deeper, the Reserve Circle offers an exclusive 90-minute preview before the main event. Guests will enjoy a limited, intimate, sommelier-led tasting featuring reserve wines not being poured during the general tasting, along with special food and wine pairings, a blind tasting challenge, and opportunities to connect directly with the wine professionals leading the experience. At 7:30 p.m. Reserve Circle guests will seamlessly join the full Tasting Experience and enjoy the rest of the evening.<\/p>\n For groups of seven or more, the Tasting Experience Group Ticket is $75 per person, while the Reserve Circle VIP Group Ticket is $115.01 per person.
