113th Precinct<\/a> in Jamaica responded to a 911 call just after 2 p.m. on Sept. 14 regarding a firearm found inside a backpack during a security screening at the school located at 142-10 Linden Blvd. A 17-year-old male student was taken into custody as a person of interest. There were no injuries reported following the incident.<\/p>\n![\"The](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/teen-arrested-firearm-jamaica-school02.webp\")

After questioning, the student was arrested and booked at the 113th Precinct, where he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon-loaded firearm in school.<\/p>\n
QNS reached out to the city\u2019s Department of Education and is awaiting a response.\n<\/p>\n
Queens School for Career Development offers a range of programs designed to foster intellectual achievement as well as social growth.
