{"id":347726,"date":"2026-09-15T21:50:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T21:50:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/347726\/"},"modified":"2026-09-15T21:50:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T21:50:14","slug":"section-of-onondaga-lake-parkway-notorious-for-bridge-strikes-to-close-temporarily","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/347726\/","title":{"rendered":"Section of Onondaga Lake Parkway notorious for bridge strikes to close temporarily"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SALINA, N.Y. \u2014 The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting drivers to an upcoming closure of the Onondaga Lake Parkway.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Transportation said that the parkway, also referred to as State Route 370, will be closed to traffic in both directions between Park Street and Oswego in the Town of Salina from 3 p.m. on Sept. 20 to 3 p.m. on Sept. 27.<\/p>\n<p>The closure is for bridge work.<\/p>\n<p>The Onondaga Lake Parkway bridge is commonly struck by large vehicles trying to go under it. The drive up to the bridge has multiple signs alerting truck drivers that the bridge is low.
