BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn (WABC) — A man was arrested and charged for allegedly murdering his 59-year-old wife, whose body was found inside her Bay Ridge, Brooklyn apartment on Monday morning, according to sources.<\/p>\n

Police charged 47-year-old Mauricio Granda with murder in the death of Maria Ines Granda on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

They say her body was found inside her first-floor apartment<\/a> located at Rose Court at 314 79th St. in Bay Ridge.<\/p>\n

Authorities said the woman was found unconscious with head trauma. At the time of the discovery, police sources told Eyewitness News the woman’s death appeared suspicious.<\/p>\n

Sources say Mauricio Granda and the victim were married.<\/p>\n
