A group of community activists have launched a \u201cDSA: Tell the Truth\u201d campaign calling out the lefty group\u2019s hypocrisy after co-chair Gustavo Gordillo\u2019s working-class persona was exposed as a facade by The Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Big Apple public housing tenants and clergy members rallied in Bedford-Stuyvesant Monday denouncing the Democratic Socialists of America as \u201cdouble standards of America\u201d and renewing calls for the resignation of Gordillo, a nepo baby who peddled himself<\/a> as the product of a working class immigrant family.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old DSA leader is the son of a Miami millionaire who bought him a $1.5 million townhouse.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the launch,\u201d civil rights leader Rev. Kevin McCall said at Monday\u2019s rally. \u201cThis is the launch of more to come. Gustavo is not off the hook. DSA is not off the hook. We\u2019re going to be in front of your houses. We\u2019re going to be in front of your meetings to tell them that Gustavo got to go. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not about doxing anybody,\u201d McCall said. \u201cWe don\u2019t want liars.\u201d<\/p>\n

The DSA has come under greater scrutiny since Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a member of the lefty group, became the first socialist to move into Gracie Mansion.<\/p>\n

Yale grad Gordillo was gifted a Brooklyn townhouse by his wealthy dad \u2014 who also allegedly paid for $1.4 million in renovations. Gustavo E. Gordillo is the founder and CEO of the $90 million telecommunications firm DraftPros, whose clients include AT&T and Verizon.<\/p>\n

Yet the DSA co-chair, who is cosplaying as blue collar, pushed to secure a $95,000 party salary<\/a>\u00a0for him and co-chair Grace Mausser, claiming there\u2019s too much socialist work to do.<\/p>\n

Gordillo had crafted a phony working class image of himself, claiming he was raised by penniless Peruvian immigrants \u2014 with his mom cleaning houses and his dad flipping burgers at Wendy\u2019s.<\/p>\n

But the ruse backfired when his privileged background was exposed.<\/p>\n

Organizers of \u201cDSA: Tell the Truth\u201d accused the socialist party of hypocrisy, and said the group can\u2019t credibly claim to be champions of public housing tenants, working-class residents or people of color.<\/p>\n

DSA co-chair Gustavo Gordillo has been under fire for falsely claiming working-class roots. unionGustavo\/x<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to make sure that Gustavo will not put us in the back of the bus by excluding black and brown people from policymaking,\u201d McCall said. \u201cWhen you\u2019re talking about NYCHA residents, there are over 500,000 residents who live in New York City Housing Authority that the DSA have no regard for. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere are black people, Latino people, Hispanic people that the DSA don\u2019t have regard for,\u201d he said. \u201cHe must resign. He must resign. He must resign.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gordillo did not respond to a request for comment Tuesday. <\/p>\n
